Easy to say – Tough to do

Every business owner has heard these words over and over, almost to the point of being haunted by them.

So why are they so hard to embrace to allow you to experience the results you desire?

Throughout my entire life, I have witnessed shop owners and mangers who say they will do things and then come up with an excuse as to why they didn’t do it. This kind of result is killing their shops bottom line, eroding their personal lifestyle and cynicism settles into their attitude and outlook on everything to do with business.

Let’s get back to the basic questions so we can be on the right path to achieve the desired results.

First: Do you believe in yourself? This is criteria number one. If you had an upbringing where you were “beaten down” by a person(s) you respected at that time but they criticized you on anything you were trying to accomplish, this can totally scar you for life. Recognize this fact, but now you have the correct knowledge, proven systems, complete processes and total support in place to draw from that can get you from point A to point B. Look yourself in the mirror every day and say “Let’s get this done!”

Second: “Let’s get this done”… is this not an “Attitude” reflecting commitment? Yes it is!! It is a statement to yourself stating clearly in your mind what you are trying to achieve. It is an absolute commitment!!! Keep this front and centre in your thoughts each day until the desired task is achieved. Take small steps in accomplishing tasks instead of giant leaps. Giant leaps can throw you off balance very easily; small steps keep you moving forward and ensure your control.

Third: Do you allow your mind to wonder? When this happens it can display a lack of self-discipline. Don’t be swayed or distracted by the noise of the industry. You know better, in fact you have far more awareness than the average person in our industry, therefore stay the desired course. I have always lived by the philosophy “Time is on my side” because if I am wrong, time will truly prove that, however when I’m right, time will show that… Well… I’m still standing and so are YOU!!! Many others are not!
