Have you ever noticed why the process of making up and writing down goals do not work for so many shop owners? I think the reason for that is that these people do not have a real purpose in what they write, in other words… it’s more of a wish list, not a list that works a plan towards a means.
I’ve met shop owners that have been taught to write out goals yearly since they started in business, however, after a year goes by the goals have not been achieved. Under further discovery you find out that they were not told one important point about goal setting and that is “your behaviour has to represent the goals you’re aiming for in order to achieve them.”
Perhaps revisit my BLOG from a couple of weeks ago where I mentioned Commitment for the next 90 days to results. As a shop owner, your responsibility is to get results. Goals should be listed around a purpose and become steps to be taken within a plan that achieves the end means (or ultimate goal) you are striving for!
