This week’s blog post is going to be slightly different.
Evaluate how each of the following phrases fits into your business operation:
“Distinct… or Extinct – If there is nothing very special about your work, no matter how hard you apply yourself, you won’t get noticed and that increasingly means you won’t get paid much either.”
“Blame Nobody! Expect Nothing! Do Something!”
Credo – “Work worth paying for.”
“Everything can be taken from a person but one thing – the last of human freedoms – to choose one’s own attitude in any set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”
“The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.”
“When land was the scarce resource, nations battled over it. The same is happening now for talented people.”
“The Automotive Aftermarket – Fighting Sameness with Distinction.”
“Quality Not Enough – Quality as defined by few defects / defined service is becoming the price of entry for automotive shops rather than the competitive advantage.”
“These days, you can’t succeed as a company if you are client led – because in a world so full of so much constant change, clients can’t anticipate the next big thing. Companies should be Idea-Led and Client Informed.”
“Top performing companies are 2 to 4 times more likely than the rest to pay what it takes to prevent losing top performers.”
“Create a cause, not a business.”
The challenges are many within our industry, however when the above phrases are embraced, they can do more to keep you focused in the right direction on a daily basis.
Where will you be in three years based on your current reality?
